Railways Cancels & Diverts Several Trains Due to Maintenance Work

The Indian Railways continues to take up several improvement measures in order to provide a seamless experience for passengers.

The national transporter has released an updated list of trains that will be affected due to maintenance work being undertaken by the North Eastern Railways, South Central Railways and the Southern Railways.

Four trains diverted by the Southern Railways

Due to engineering works being undertaken between Renigunta and Tirupati under the Guntakal section, the Southern Railways has diverted four trains:

> Train no. 02659 Nagercoil – Shalimar Special departing from Nagercoil at 02:45 pm on 7.03.21 will now be diverted via Katpadi, Melpakkam and Renigunta.

> Train no. 06733 Rameswaram – Okha Special departing from Rameswaram at 10:10 pm on 05.03.21 will now be diverted via Katpadi, Melpakkam and Renigunta. 


> Train no. 02890 Yesvantpur – Tatanagar Special departing from Yesvantpur at 08:30 am on 08.03.21 will now be diverted via Katpadi, Melpakkam and Renigunta. 

> Train no. 02836 Yesvantpur – Hatia Special departing from Yesvantpur at 08:30 am on 11.03.21 will now be diverted via Katpadi, Melpakkam and Renigunta. 

More than 30 trains cancelled, partially cancelled and diverted by the South Central Railways

The South Central Railways (SCR) has changed the schedule of more than 30 trains. This is due to maintenance work being undertaken on the Tirupati station of the Guntakal division.

While 18 trains have been fully cancelled, seven have been partially cancelled and four have been diverted. Along with this, two trains will not be halting at the Tirupati station. Check the dates and details of the trains below:
