Travel Guidelines: New Updates from Surat, Dehradun & Amritsar
Travel guidelines: these words have become an indispensable part of our trip planning, and for good reason. Issued keeping the general safety of the public in mind, travel guidelines for different states — and in today’s case, cities — often change on short notice as the COVID-19 situation evolves.
The most recent guideline updates today are from Surat, Dehradun and Amritsar and have been shared by budget carrier Go First on its official Twitter handle. Let’s take a look:

The city authorities have made it mandatory for arriving travellers to carry a negative RT-PCR test report at the airport. This test must have been conducted within 72 hours of the flight departure. Those who do not carry this report will have to undergo on-arrival testing at the airport:

Dehradun
The capital of Uttarakhand has made it mandatory for arriving passengers to carry a negative RT-PCR/TrueNat/CBNAAT/RAT report issued within 72 hours, counted from the time of arrival in Dehradun. However, passengers carrying their final vaccination certificate (two doses), having completed 15 days after receiving the second dose, will be exempted from this.
In addition to this, arriving passengers in Dehradun are required to register themselves on the state website dsclservices.org.in/apply.php before boarding the flight.
Armed forces and their families are exempted from carrying the negative reports, but they are still required to register on the above-mentioned state portal.
Readers must note that Dehradun had issued new guidelines quite recently, requiring incoming travellers to register on the smart city web portal, and making a COVID negative report issued within 72 hours mandatory for all passengers (including fully vaccinated passengers) from Maharashtra, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh amongst other rules.

Amritsar
The holy city has issued new rules, requiring arriving travellers to carry either their final vaccination certificate (two doses) or a negative RT-PCR report issued within 72 hours of arrival. Children below the age of 10 however, are exempted from carrying the test report:
