Assam, Uttar Pradesh and J&K Issue New COVID Guidelines

COVID cases in India have seen a considerable dip in the last few days. Owing to this, many states and UTs have withdrawn/eased the restrictions that were imposed earlier. 

Here are the updated guidelines for Assam, Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Assam

As per the latest order, the Government of Assam has withdrawn all the COVID restrictions from the state. 

However, non-vaccinated people are still restricted from entering any public places, except hospitals. People need to carry proof of being fully vaccinated while visiting public places. 

These guidelines came into effect from 6 am today i.e. 15th February.

Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh Government has allowed restaurants, hotels and food joints to function. These establishments must adhere to COVID appropriate behaviour. 

Gyms are allowed to open. However, swimming pools and water parks shall still remain closed. 

All government and private offices are allowed to operate with full capacity. 

These guidelines came into effect from 14th February.
