COVID Guidelines: Goa Announces Lockdown; Several States Extend Curfews

In a bid to flatten the second COVID wave in the country, while some Indian states have issued new, stricter curbs, several others have now extended already-imposed curfews. Today’s latest list includes new guidelines by Goa, Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Leh, Manipur and Nagaland.

Goa
government has imposed a lockdown in the state till the morning of May 3, 2021. Gatherings of five or more persons have been prohibited, unless it is for official functions or with permission from authorities. Check the complete order below:


Jharkhand
has also issued new guidelines, extending the Swasthya Suraksha Saptah (Health Safety Week) in the state by another week. It will now be observed till 6 am on May 6. The complete guidelines were shared by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on his official Twitter handle:
